VDB Loi assists as Ericsson receives Myanmar licenses
June 19, 2014Leading Myanmar legal and tax advisory firm VDB Loi has successfully assisted Ericsson with the procedure to obtain a license from the Myanmar Investment Commission (MIC).
Myanmar has in 2012 liberalized it’s telecom sector. Amidst massive interest from telecom operators, Ooredoo and Telenor have each been awarded nationwide telecommunications licenses. Another two local operators MPT and YTP are still negotiating with foreign partners about possible cooperation.
VDB Loi’s dedicated MIC Permit team comprises lawyers as well as CPAs to prepare the voluminous financial portion of the applications. The firm has a fully operational office in Ny Pyi Taw which drives the MIC process, dramatically reducing time to secure decisions from Government counterparts.
