IPO Summit: The practical side of getting listed at the Yangon Stock Exchange

The Yangon Stock Exchange (YSX) is open. Underwriters have been appointed and there are an estimated 10-12 local companies looking to list soon.

This workshop focuses on the practical side of an IPO deal. How to negotiate with the Commission? How to best fix corporate or tax issues prior to listing? In other words, how to get your IPO deal through in reality?

Myanmar law firm VBD Loi assisting some of the first companies raising capital at the YSX, international law firm Milbank, underwriting firm KBZ Stirling Coleman Securities, financial services company RR Donnelley and international accounting firm BDO are joining forces to provide a half day seminar for anyone interested in this exciting new opportunity.

Edwin is the senior partner of VDB Loi and a leading foreign legal advisor living in Myanmar since 2012. A frequent advisor to the Government on transactions and privatizations in energy, transportation and telecom, he is widely recognized for his “vast knowledge” (Legal 500) and his ability “to get difficult things through the bureaucracy ” (Chambers, 2016). He advises international financial institutions on their largest Myanmar transactions, oil and gas supermajors, a greenfield multi- billion US$ telecom project and the Japanese Government on the Thilawa SEZ.
